In 1990 Monica and Maurizio, the current owners of the winery, were fascinated by this ancient peasant farm situated in a panoramic position facing mount Amiata, the hills of Val d’Orcia and the Ombrone river valley. After purchasing Podere San Giusto with its 4 surrounding hectares and 200 olive trees in production, Monica dropped her job and began the activity of wine entrepreneur by purchasing another 6 hectares of land with 1300 olive trees in the nearby Porrona area next to the village and the medieval castle, and a vineyard for the production of Montecucco DOC wine in the land in front of the farm. The winery currently covers a total of 10 hectares in the municipality of Cinigiano in Tuscany, in the heart of the Montecucco Wine Route, a high-quality fine wine that has obtained the Denomination of Controlled Origin (DOC).
